Hyundai unveiled its flagship electric vehicle model, Hyundai Ioniq 9. The Hyundai Ioniq 9 is a three-row SUV, which will be available for sale in Korea and the USA in the first half of 2025.

After that, it will be introduced in European and other markets. It has been launched with many advanced features and great looks. Let’s take a look at what makes the Ioniq 9 special.

Hyundai Ioniq 9: Battery and Range

Hyundai’s new range-topping EV is equipped with a 110.3 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 620 km on a full charge. It features 19-inch wheels and is based on Hyundai’s E-GMP architecture. With a 350 kW charger, the Ioniq 9 can charge from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.

The vehicle supports both 400V and 800V charging capacities and has a feature called a vehicle-to-load (V2L), whereby an electrical device can be charged by the SUV.

The Ioniq 9 is available in two trims: Long-Range and Performance, with RWD and AWD options. AWD is standard on the LR variant, but the RWD variant does not have this option.

Performance

The LR RWD variant is rated to produce 218 hp and 350 Nm of peak torque. It accelerates from 0-100 kph in 9.4 seconds, and from 80 to 120 kph in 6.8 seconds.

The LR AWD variant produces 95 hp and 255 Nm torque, which accelerates it in 6.7 seconds from 0 to 100 kph and in 4.8 seconds from 80 to 120 kph.

The Performance variant, meanwhile, packs 218 hp and its 0-100 kph could take just 5.2 seconds, or 80-120 kph in 3.4 seconds.

Hyundai Ioniq 9: Interior and Features

The Ioniq 9 boasts a lavishly roomy interior, allowing for six-seat and seven-seat configurations. Seats in the first and second rows are equipped with a massage function, and the second-row seats can swivel to 180 degrees.

It also features the Hyundai Universal Island 2.0, an adjustable console with an armrest accessed from the second row, and two storage trays with respective capacities of 5.6 liters and 12.6 liters.

Space and Storage

The Ioniq 9 offers 620 litres of luggage space in the boot, and expands up to 1,323 litres with the folding of the third row.

It will be equipped with a panoramic sunroof and a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, including a panoramic curved display.
