Mahindra recently introduced the Mahindra XEV 9e and Mahindra BE 6e electric vehicles. The safety features of the XEV 9e were tested by the company in an internal crash test.

The test took place at Mahindra’s establishment in Chennai.

Specialties of Mahindra’s SUVs

Mahindra’s SUVs are recognized for their outstanding safety elements. A new pattern of secure vehicles is emerging in India, and electric vehicles such as the Tata Curvv EV, which boasts a 5-star safety rating, are already on sale.

Features of the new car

There are two battery pack choices available for the Mahindra XEV 9e – 59kWh and 79kWh. Mahindra states that the XEV 9e is capable of traveling approximately 650 kilometers on a single charge, as certified by MIDC.

Mahindra is asserting significant safety features for the XEV 9e. The highest trim of the Mahindra XEV 9e will be equipped with 7 airbags.

Moreover, it will include advanced safety features like a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and ADAS, an abbreviation for Advanced Driving Assistance System.

Safety performances worth to pay attention

The Tata Curve EV achieved a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash test. During crash tests conducted by Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP, the safety performance of the XEV 9e will be compared to that of the Tata Curve EV.

The base model of the Mahindra XEV 9e includes safety features like 6 airbags, a reverse camera, electronic parking brake, and tire pressure monitor.

The XEV 9e has been launched at an introductory price of ₹21.90 lakh. This electric car comes in three variants – Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3. So far, only the price of Pack 1 has been disclosed.
