Tata Curvv CNG : Tata Motors is preparing to introduce something truly exciting for SUV lovers — a CNG version of its coupe-inspired SUV, the Tata Curvv.

Recently spotted during testing, this upcoming model is generating a lot of buzz, especially due to its expected dual-cylinder setup. This new variant promises to bring a perfect mix of power, efficiency, and a bold design statement.

Camouflaged But Promising: Design Details So Far

Although the Curvv CNG test model was fully covered in camouflage during its road tests, auto insiders believe its design will closely follow that of the existing petrol and diesel variants.

With its distinctive coupe-like silhouette, the Curvv already stands out — and now, as the first SUV in India to feature dual-cylinder CNG technology, it’s expected to set a new benchmark.

This innovative setup will allow for greater CNG capacity without compromising on boot space, offering both convenience and economy.

Engine and Mileage: What to Expect Under the Hood

While Tata Motors hasn’t officially disclosed the powertrain details for the CNG Curvv, industry experts suggest it may feature a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, producing around 99 bhp and 170 Nm of torque.

This setup is likely to deliver an impressive mileage of nearly 25 km per kg of CNG — making it an ideal choice for everyday commuters looking for both performance and savings at the pump.

Feature-Packed Interior and Safety That Inspires Confidence

The upcoming Tata Curvv CNG isn’t just about fuel economy. It’s expected to carry forward the same premium interior as its fuel-based siblings.

Highlights may include a massive 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver display, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system — delivering an upscale in-cabin experience.

In terms of safety, the Curvv has already proved its mettle, earning a 5-star rating in the BNCAP crash tests. The CNG variant is expected to retain essential features like six airbags, Level-2 ADAS, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic parking brake, and a 360-degree camera — all combining to ensure complete peace of mind on the road.

Launch Timeline and Expected Price Tag

According to reports, Tata Motors may unveil the Curvv CNG during the festive season of Dussehra or Diwali — a strategic move to capture holiday buyers.

While the current petrol-diesel variants start from ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the CNG model is likely to begin around ₹11 lakh.

Once launched, the Curvv lineup will offer a total of four powertrain options: Petrol, Diesel, Electric, and now CNG — giving buyers more choices than ever before in the compact SUV segment.
