Budget 2025: The Union Finance Minister has presented the Budget 2025, unveiling several significant announcements aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape and improving the lives of farmers.

One of the most notable moves is the increase in the credit limit of the Kisan Credit Card, which has been raised to ₹5 lakh. This initiative is expected to provide greater financial flexibility to farmers and support the expansion of their agricultural activities.

Boost to Cotton Production and Agricultural Loans

To encourage higher cotton production, the government has set a mission to facilitate loans of up to ₹5 lakh. This financial support is expected to bolster cotton cultivation and empower farmers to invest in advanced agricultural techniques and better resources.

Additionally, a significant development in the fertilizer sector was announced, with the establishment of new urea plants. This move aims to ensure a steady supply of fertilizers, thereby enhancing agricultural productivity.

Launch of PM Dhyan Krishi Yojana

The Finance Minister also introduced the PM Dhyan Krishi Yojana, which focuses on enhancing crop yield, promoting modern farming practices, and providing credit support to 100 selected districts.

This initiative is projected to benefit around 1.7 crore farmers, offering them access to advanced agricultural techniques and financial assistance.

Mission for Pulses Self-Sufficiency

To achieve self-sufficiency in pulses production, the Finance Minister announced a six-year mission.

This program is designed to promote extensive research, better seed distribution, and advanced farming methods to meet the country’s demand for pulses.

PM Dhan Dhan Yojana for Comprehensive Agricultural Growth

Farmers received another major gift in the form of the PM Dhan Dhan Yojana. This scheme aims to collaborate with state governments to improve agricultural operations and provide comprehensive support to farmers.

Around 1.7 crore farmers are expected to benefit from this initiative, which will also contribute to state-level agricultural development.

Focus on Farmers' Income and Financial Reforms

The budget also emphasizes enhancing farmers' incomes by offering various support schemes and financial options. Ten key districts have been identified for agricultural expansion, ensuring that a large number of farmers gain access to these benefits.

These measures are expected to improve the financial stability of farmers and provide them with new income-generation opportunities.

Moreover, the budget highlights the importance of fostering farm growth, expanding manufacturing capacities, and introducing reforms in the financial sector to benefit the agricultural community.

Better Prospects for Farmers

By introducing these comprehensive schemes and increasing credit limits, the government aims to provide farmers with the resources and financial backing needed to modernize their practices, increase production, and improve overall income levels.

The Budget 2025 lays a strong foundation for the sustainable growth of the agricultural sector, paving the way for a more prosperous future for farmers.
